H&H Board Changes

I have great pleasure in announcing that Simon Johnson has been elected as a director of Harrison & Harrison.  Having served with distinction for thirteen years as Organist and Assistant Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral, Simon was recently appointed as Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral, with its famous choir and organ.  We very much look forward to having the benefit of his experience and advice.  More details can be found here.

Two long-serving directors are leaving the Board: Katherine Venning, who has decided that the time has come for her to retire, and Duncan Mathews, who has stepped down from his current management role as he moves towards retirement.  Both have been valued members of the Board, in addition to their long and important professional service with the firm.  Katherine was our Administrator, at the heart of our operations for 20 eventful years until her retirement from that post in 2010.  Duncan has been with us for 46 years; he took charge of our production from 1996 onwards and played a major role in our operations through a period of unprecedented change.  Fortunately he will remain with us part-time and we will still be able to draw on his unrivalled knowledge of practical organ building.  I thank Katherine and Duncan for their outstanding contributions to the work of H&H.
